The following are some questions commonly asked by our customers. I was running Cuisine just fine yesterday, and now every time I run it I get a message that Cuisine has performed an invalid operation. How can I get it working again? This has been found to be a Cuisine bug. I can happen any time that you save a bookmark, either by using the View/Bookmark command or by having the Save Bookmark on Exit option turned on. If a bookmark is saved and then that recipe is deleted without removing the bookmark, or if another cookbook is opened that does not have that recipe in it, the error will occur. There is now a fix for this error. Go to the patch file page and download the proper patch and apply it. I'm trying to save to a new cookbook and I get the message Can't make backup for <filename.cb>. Save anyway? What can I do? Go ahead and click the 'Yes' button. Cuisine will save the cookbook in the new file. This is a bug in the Save As logic. We are working on a fix and will be posting a patch file for registered users as soon as it's ready. How many recipes can I store with Cuisine? The only real limitation on the number of recipes is the amount of memory in your system. We have had one user report they added more than a thousand recipes. How many cookbooks can I have with Cuisine? You can have as many cookbooks as you have room on your hard disk. I'm having trouble importing a file from Meal Master. What can I do? Sometimes Meal Master places a line at the beginning of a file that Win Gourmet can't handle. To fix the problem, use a text editor such as NOTEPAD.EXE or EDIT.EXE and delete the first line in the file. Win Gourmet should now have no problem importing the file. This problem is fixed in Cuisine 2.0. How do I resize a recipe for more servings than it shows in the file? Here's how you do it. First click Meal/Servings and enter the number of servings you want your recipe resized to. Next click Meal/Recipes and click the Add button to add your recipe. Now, still on the Meal/Recipe dialog, select your recipe and click the View button. You will now see your recipe resized for the number of servings you need and the ingredients will be changed to match the servings. You can also print the resized recipe, but the number of servings shown is incorrect. The ingredients are correct, just the number of servings is wrong. We are working on a fix for this.
